Blue is Nice.

2009 WRX hatchback. Brought home on 6-16-09 after months of research. The piece of mind of all wheel drive and a high safety rating were big factors in favor of the purchase. Not to mention the looks and turbo power.

The actual purchase at the dealership was rather painless. Did all my negotiating and research via email/internet. Highly recommended versus sitting at the dealership for hours trying to negotiate there.

The xB will be going to my parents and I'm happy about that. They take good care of their cars and I'll be able to see it still.

Update 6/29/09:
  • Requested that the dealership not detail the car after purchasing it... After the first wash by myself (two bucket method and dry with synthetic chamois) noticed that it had plenty of swirl marks and microscopic bumps on the hood and top surfaces.
  • Used a clay bar with detail spray to remove the bumps (worked like a charm) and then waxed the the surface to protect it. Came out very nice. Lots of the circular swirls have been removed but some microscopic scratches are visible. Happy with it though.
  • Still need to clay bar and wax the sides, front and rear bumper.
  • Would like to get a dual action orbital polisher to take out all the swirls.
Update 7/23/09:
  • Installed license plates today. Looks nice.
  • Washed the car about five times already!
  • Fits the 1.60 Extra very nicely. Need to figure out if it can hold 50 cc planes.
  • Received my touch up paint from the dealership via mail.
  • Been averaging 21 mpg.
  • 700 miles.
