Test drove a 2009 Subaru WRX yesterday and was fairly impressed. Couldn't really feel the turbo kick in because I had to keep it under 4000 rpm since it is brand new and in the break in period.
Things that I noticed when driving:
-Quiet interior, little road noise
-Responsive steering
-Slightly tricky to get it into first gear, needs lighter clutch work and more gas
The good:
-AWD, will help with the commute when it is snowy or super rainy
-Exterior looks are awesome in my opinion (hatchback)
-Larger spoiler than previous 08 model
-Lots of airbags and has 5 star safety rating
-Good amount of cargo space to hold rc airplanes
-Leather wrapped steering wheel
-Red stitching throughout interior gives a modern and edgy look
-Turbo
-265 horse power
The bad:
-Requires premium fuel
-Comes stock with summer tires, probably need to get all season tires before winter comes around again
-Lots of plastic in the interior (ie. doors and dash)
-Price
