Cayman R.
What a wonderful experience. This is my first Porsche and my first time to order a car to my specifications. The wait was long, five months, but well worth it. Today, with my father as my wing man, I took delivery of a 2012 Carrara White Cayman R. When I first arrived at the show room and saw my CR waiting for me, I was blown away by the awesome beauty of the machine. I've never seen a CR in person until today and based my decision on the appearance of a base Cayman and a test drive in a Boxster S. So, I had a hunch of what I was getting into. But, the CR exceeded all of my expectations. Great quality, sexy lines, and out of this world driving feel. I can't even explain what it feels like to shift through the gears of the manual transmission. Effortless and positive. The sound of the stock exhaust is music to my ears. The engine rev it automatically does as I turn the ignition sends tingles down my spine. (I do catch myself reaching to the right side of the steering column to turn the ignition though!) And, when I finally park the car in the garage at home, it takes twenty minutes for me to stop admiring the car before stepping foot inside the house. I'm happy.
Options include: Sports Chrono, AC, Bi-Xenons, and Sport Bucket Seats.
My dealer was very professional and I enjoyed the whole ordering process. They are also sending me a set of clear side markers! Great guys.
The journey is just beginning...
