One flight on the Goblin 500 which unfortunately ended in a crash landing. After a vertical stall turn, she would recover from the down leg. Motor cut out but I still had cyclic control. Flared at the last moment and was able to save the chopper from catastrophic damage.
Culprit may have been running too much current which caused the ESC to shut down. Apparently, switching to governor mode may eliminate spikes in voltage which may cause the ESC to shut down.
Estimated damage cost: 75 bucks. Will switch to governor mode ASAP.
