Today marks the first oil change for the 991 and its first year anniversary. 1430 miles in one year. Went to the dealership with my dad and what we thought was going to be a simple hour and half oil change, turned into five hours! The 991 required a "campaign" service - replacement of vacuum lines leading to the exhaust. Unfortunately, the service department went ahead and proceeded with the replacement before letting me know. So that resulted in me taking a loaner A4 for a couple hours to burn up some time.
Even though a whole day was pretty much used up on getting our oil changed, my dad and I had a great time looking at some new Porsches, test driving an A4, browsed the hobby shop, ate some Vietnamese food, and had a great drive back home via some curvy back roads! Great weather, great cars, and great company.
