It went together fairly well. Lots of plastic which seems a little cheap but it's sturdy enough. So, I was going to use the stock Lexan clear body but realized I didn't want to hassle with spray painting it. Lots of nasty stuff to inhale. Therefore, I ordered a plastic hard body from Amain hobbies and it turned out sexy! Didn't have spray paint it at all. Just a bunch of gluing, Gundam markers to line the panels and applying stickers.
As far as the road/trail test, this thing is slow as shite, but it sure climbs well. Squishy shocks. Good turning radius. Decent tires, but I think a more aggressive sport tread may help with climbing. The stock tires are licensed BF TKO2, very cool looking.
The red truck is my son's Traxxas TRX 4 sport. He loves it. It is way faster than my rig and climbs like heck. Ported axles which gives it better clearance. Overall, very happy with it. Keep in mind little guy is only 3.5 years old and he was able to drive it from the local school yard to my parents house all by himself. Very proud of him. Daughter says she wants a yellow truck now! I'm so very excited and happy to already be sharing the love of RC with my kids. Dream come true.
